Riga Roland
As in many European cities Riga has statue of Roland.
Roland is epic hero, who became symbol of city independence.
But, frankly speaking, Riga was never an independent city.
Roland is placed on Blackhead's House square, faced to Riga Town Hall.

Wow, that is an amazingly beautiful square. I would very much like to visit there and see each of those structures. When I think of Roland, I picture him with a horn rather than a sword and shield. Your photo is composed so beautifully. Kudos!
