Laima Clock

Laimas pulkstenis (Laima Clock) is the public clock next to Freedom Monument. It is built in 1924, and quickly became as one of the Riga symbols.
No doubt that Laima Clock is the most important meeting point in Riga. It is used not only by ordinary people, but by political parties and movements.

It's a bit unusual for me to see a clock tower not attached to a large public building of some kind. I can see why it's a meeting point, it's very distinctive.
I love the smell of bakery right next to the clock; it's amazing! I think they have a fan running to waft all of the scent out to the passersby.
