Dogs of Riga
I have received this DVD from Ben from the Netherlands, who is one of Riga Daily Photo readers.
The Dogs of Riga is a movie based on book with the same name.
The movie was filmed in 1995, mainly in Riga, so it depicts scenes and views of Riga that time. For me it was the main reason, why I've watched this movie till the end.
Because of language barrier (movie was in Swedish and subtitles were in Dutch) I can't fully evaluate this movie :)

The movie is based on a book by Swedish author Henning Mankell, dunno if any of his books are translated to Latvian.

I read the book....and it is fantastic....i didn't know there is a film about it! great thing....with your page i can imagine all the places in book. Best wishes!
They have been repeatedly showing Manell's Wallander on the BBC, and I think it is way better that any SCI-FI CSI series.....
