Maskavas Forštate

Maskavas forštate is one of the biggest areas in Riga covering several neighborhoods under one name.
Soviet Kengarags is in the far end. And poor Maskachka is at the foreground of this panorama taken from Science academy
Newly built Daugava South Bridge and TV Tower can be seen at the background right corner.

Hey up!
On the way back to the airport we went trough some really poor district with plenty of abandoned buildings. It is on the way from the center. On second side of the daugava river.I remember that we've passed the bridge. I love old riga yes?is really beautifule and great to do sightseeing. but this district was really impressiv and interesting for me. shame because I have no idea what is the name of this area.Do you know maybe what place I am thinking about?I am just beging to see few photos from there.
I like this photo! Great view!
Anonymous, I guess the name of area you are talking about is Pardaugava maybe some part of it like Tonakalns or Agenskalns.
Thanks for asnwer. When I will come next time to Riga definitely I am going to spend some time in this area. There is plenty of great places to photograph I think.Just remarkable!
