Muzeju Nakts 2009

Muzeju nakts (Museum Night) is annual international event, which is being held in many cities worldwide.
Riga is taking part in this event several years in a row. Tens of museums and galleries keep their doors open for one night.
Tens of thousands people pour out into the city and night Riga looks very lively.
I've visited several quite alternative museums during the night and all of them were boring nearly tasteless.
Which is your favourite museum in Riga, or which would you recommend to visit?

When at beginning of the event I saw the long lines of people waiting for at least an hour to get into museums in the city centre I went to cinema instead. :)
Though after that I went to the old warehouses close to the Market and it was fun - exhibitions of modern art, Doll Museum, improvised bars, dance. Young, happy, intelligent, artistic people all around you. Really nice.
At 01:00 AM the city looked like it would be 01:00 PM. All busy. Cars and crowds of people.
It might be boring at some places, I guess. But what would you expect of a museum. :)
I spent last spring in Rīga and was planning to visit many museums but eventually I was only at one, guess what caught my attention the most... - was then in ethnographic park at thr city outskirts near the lake :) find it a real pleasure to have a rest there - in this place is possible to forget time and date. put some photo of it in your blog - i think it haven't been published here so far.
