Cancelled Flights
Thousands of flights are cancelled because of Volcanic ash over Nordic countries, including Latvia.
More than 20,000 passengers get stuck in Riga airport, which is closed for all flights since yesterday evening.
Vulcan hazard experts say that ash clouds may block all flights for few weeks and will continue to affect some flights for at least several months.
Although airport officials say that air traffic will be resumed tomorrow morning, on 17th of April.

I saw some surreal photos from Arlanda yesterday. The airport was empty, that has never happened before.

what was it called? British airways flight 9. Flew thought the ash from one of Indonesian's many volcanoes and lost all engines. Took the paint off the plane and the entered the guiness book of records for the world's longest glide. Glad I sitting this crisis out, at home and on the couch.
