Riga Diesel Engine Factory was founded in 1949 and located in the most industrial area called Sarkandaugava.
The central office building was built in 1985 and represents another master piece of Soviet Architecture.

that's a great looking building! very soviet modern industrial, almost Orwellian.
Yes, I see what you mean about it being a masterpiece of soviet construction and design. I really have trouble with this kind of neo brutalist architecture, whatever country it is in. We have a few here in Leeds but mostly not on this scale.
Very harsh in some way.
