The Same November

Living outside of home country makes me miss Latvia, its people, traditions and spirit.
Being offshore I started to idialize Latvia and its inhabitants, but whenever I come back I understand again and again that nothing is changed, the same brainwashing speeches and stupid provocations under Mēs ♥ Latviju! banners.
When people will start to love its own country as it is, without any fantastic and unrealistic requirements to change.

I can agree - the first step is to (internally) accept everything as it is, only then it can start to change. For example, when Latvians will be able to accept Russians who don't know or don't want to speak Latvian, then maybe these Russians, not feeling oppressed anymore, will start to learn/want to speak Latvian voluntarily and will accept it as the only state's language and the main tool of communication in Latvia... And otherwise - when Russians be able to accept that many of them have left without citizenship, then maybe one day can come when Latvia grants citizenship to all it's inhabitants (and the both processes - speaking in Latvian/granting citizenship - is very strongly interconnected). But that's just my "wish-to be" theory.
