Victor Enrich is the name of modern artist from Barcelona, who is making surreal photos of different cities.
His works made my brain go crazy trying to understand how some of the pictures are composed, because of its misleading simplicity, reverted street angles and buildings.

Art Academy of Latvia is one of the most remarkable buildings of Riga. It was built in 1905 and joins two most popular Riga's architecture styles Gothic and Art Nouveau
Рижский русский театр им. Чехова (Riga Russian Theatre) aka Russian dramatic theater was opened in 1882 and it is the second oldest theater in Riga after Opera. Recently the theater was renovated and now it hosts again many art performances, mostly of Russian origin.
Ķīpsala Tunnel is connecting two parts of Kipsala island-neighborhood through Vansu Bridge. The tunnel is city-wide famous for its rich graffiti collection. See the photo collection of tunnel graffiti.
Another Monthly Theme came and this time the topic is Graffiti. Again. I couldn't find quickly any really good graffiti in Riga, so I decide to put the bad one :) This type of graffiti is quite regular for Riga blocks, tunnels and industrial areas. Bright Colours is the topic of regular Monthly theme and I was too late to take a good photo on time :) For a couple of days I couldn't find in Riga anything brighter than Piena Svetki (Milk Fest), which was held on 1st of August in area next to Piens club. Alfrēds Kalniņš is one of the most famous Latvian composers. During his life he used to work in many cities, including New York. His sculpture was erected in 1979, on his 100th birthday. Initially the statue was in front of Opera, but now it is looking towards Opera's back.
Baudiet Nesteidzoties (Enjoy sipping) is the name of another Apsara Tea House, located in old town. Tea drinking is extremely popular in Riga, but the drinkers' preference is changing constantly. Nowadays the person who drinks black tea with white sugar (as everybody did several years before) is a rarity.
Riga Fashion Week is a seasonal fashion show of the leading Baltic and international designers. Concentration of alternative and other bohemian people usually is being held in Hotel Latvia.

Kabata (Pocket) is a small underground theater and bar with dance floor at the night time. This place is favourited by many artistic personalities of Latvian community.
