Last week was a monument opening ceremony of the most famous and high-minded Russian author Alexander Pushkin (Александр Сергеевич Пушкин), who was shot in the age of 38 (1799 - 1837) Pushkin had a fabulous life and was recognized as genius during his life already. He wrote many chefs d'oeuvre, basically he has changed the Russian literature. It was difficult to take a picture of statue without people nearby, because a lot of people were constantly coming here, to Kronvalda parks to see bronze Pushkin.
Tea House Apsara is actually Café.. :) A wide assortment of any tea, from white till black, and of course sweets ;) Friendly atmosphere makes this place perfect for dating and meeting close friends. Main feature of this place is that visitors not sitting at the tables, but lying on the pillows and savour of good tea ;)
Rīgas brīvostas pārvalde (Freeport of Riga Authority) office building is nicely decorated by colorful fountain and little lighthouse on the right from the building.
The building itself is located on Riga Canal coast in Kronvalda park.
This bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Riga. It crosses Riga Canal. Actually this bridge has no name. But some century ago its name was Alexanderbrücke (Alexander Bridge). Name was delivered from Alexander Street running over the bridge.

Centrālais tirgus (Central Market) is one of the most impressive buildings in Riga. Uncommonly giant pavilions are always full of people buying food. These pavilions are just the beginning of the huge market which stretches far away. I would recommend to visit market until the noon to feel the right atmosphere :) See also another popular photo of pavilion.
Bastejkalns (Bastion Hill) is an artificial hill in the center of Riga next to Riga Canal. Built up as defensive stand on the northeast of Old Riga, nowadays it is park, where a lot of people walk everyday. In the beginning of 20 century it was so popular and beautiful place to walk, that doctors recommended for social elite "go for a walk to Bastion Hill for de-stress" :) See also Bastion Hill in Winter.
Riga Tower Clock on Central Railway Station is one of the modern Riga sights. During Soviet epoch clock was digital. After Central Railway Station reconstruction in late 90s new tower was built with analog clock and magnificent bar on top. Bar is open to everybody and has nice view of the city.
Small bridge is situated in the Bastejkalns Parks (Park of Bastion Hill). Almost every newly wedded couple come here on wedding-day to fasten a padlock, sometimes with engraved names of owners. This tradition symbolizes strength, durability and longevity of new created union of woman and man.
