Dubulti Lutheran Church
Dubultu evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca (Dubulti Evangelic Lutheran Church) was built in 1909 in the place of old wooden prayer house, which was here, at Baznicas iela, since 1851.
26 meters (85 ft) tall tower with clock is one of the most notable sights in Jurmala town.

Freezing morning in Riga
This night in some Riga suburbs like Airport the temperature was -27°C (-17°F), but in the center it was only -19°C (-2°F). At 9 o'clock in the morning in Teika I took this picture and it still was -21°C (-6°F). It is absolute record this winter.
When it is lower than -15, the children are allowed not to go to school, so all tramways are half empty today ;)

Koncertzāle Dzintari

oncertzale Dzintari
Dzintaru koncertzāle (Dzintari concert hall) is the most important arena in Jurmala town.
The wooden building was built in 1936, the hall was rebuilt in 1960 without walls and the space merges with the surrounding Jurmala dune park.
It is stamping ground of Russian entertainment stars.

Origo Clock


One of the most important Riga meeting points is below this Origo Clock or Origo Tower.
Romantic meetings, business meetings, but mostly buying and selling things are happening around this place every minute.
This place is very popular among Riga visitors because of this location - next to Central Railway Station.

Laima Clock


Laimas pulkstenis (Laima Clock) is the public clock next to Freedom Monument. It is built in 1924, and quickly became as one of the Riga symbols.
No doubt that Laima Clock is the most important meeting point in Riga. It is used not only by ordinary people, but by political parties and movements.

VEF Tower


VEF Clock Tower is located inside of the territory of the former VEF factory.
Because of the high floor ceilings, this clock tower was one of the highest building in Riga in the middle of 20s century.

Tower Clock


Riga Tower Clock on Central Railway Station is one of the modern Riga sights.
During Soviet epoch clock was digital. After Central Railway Station reconstruction in late 90s new tower was built with analog clock and magnificent bar on top.
Bar is open to everybody and has nice view of the city.
