Vilande Baptist Church

Vilande Baptist Church
Rīgas baptistu Vīlandes draudze (Vilande Baptist Church) is a Christian Church located in area called Quiet Center.
The Church was built in 1887. The first public liturgy has took a place next year, in 1888.
During the Soviet times this building was home for both Baptists and Adventists, which I guess had affected Vilande Church's regulations.
Despite Vilande Church is currently affiliated with the Latvian Baptist Churches, it has notably distinct way of thinking if we compare it to St. Matthew Baptist Church.

Nowadays Riga Market is the biggest in Europe and has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On the picture are 2 of 5 market's hangars - vegetable and fish pavilion.

The only common custom for all baptists is that believer get baptized only in adult age and because of its own will.
The building itself was built in 1902 on Matthew street in neo-romanticism architecture style.
