Bolderājas Evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca (Bolderaja Lutheran Church) was built in 1875 and burnt in 1973.
Wooden building was rebuilt in 1995 as the only Lutheran church in Northwestern Riga.

Svētā Jāņa Baznīca (Saint John Church) is Evangelical Lutheran Church in Old Town on Skarnu iela. It is one of Riga sights, located just next to St. Peters Church. The building was built in 13th century and used for many pursposes like horse stable or weapon workshop. Since late 16th century it became as church again and to recover spiritual value, two monks were mured up in church wide wall, where they died after several years of living in darkness and getting fed through small window.
Sāpju Dievmātes Romas katoļu baznīca (Virgin of Anguish Roman Catholic Church) located at Pils iela in Old town. Church was built in 1761 as wooden building, then it was rebuilt several times. It looks as today's since 1895. See also Holy Trinity Church.
As in many European cities Riga has statue of Roland. Roland is epic hero, who became symbol of city independence. But, frankly speaking, Riga was never an independent city. Roland is placed on Blackhead's House square, faced to Riga Town Hall. See also Riga Webcam with Roland in the middle.
Rīgas Sv. Pētera baznīca (Riga St. Peter's Church) is the main Riga sight during ages since 15th century. Few times it was the tallest building in Europe by various categories. Today I woke up because of terrible industrial noise. Riga Renovation Agency decide to remove from top of Old Gertrudes Church small statuettes, which imminent threat of falling down. But why saturday morning? This street is not busy during working days. Maybe they are afraid of religious fanatics? :)
Replica of the Blackheads House in Riga was built in 1999. Original building was destroyed by Nazi aircraft during Second World War. In front of Blackheads House is statue of Roland. Vecā Ģertrūdes baznīca (Old Gertrude's Church) in Riga from Baznicas iela. During the autumn and winter, sun is shining in Riga very rare. So for me this photograph looks very warm :)
