Kremlin Wall is quite narrow-famous sight in Riga and is located in Purvciems neighbourhood. This apartment building was built in 1980s for Soviet politicians, which used to work in Latvian Communist Party. The house itself is similar to red-brick wall and towers of Kremlin, which is located in Moscow and is the main government building of Russia during its whole history.
Duntes biroji is a modern office building, which was built in 2007 on Duntes street, obviously :) A lot of large and famous companies like Statoil, Samsung, Ericsson, Minolta, etc have office here.
Yesterday Italian pop singer Eros Ramazzotti held finally a single concert in Arena Riga. It was an unique and a very long-awaited performance, because of postponing since November 2009. Close-up photo was taken by Irene.

Traditional Lāpu gājiens (Torchlight Procession) took place yesterday late evening in Riga and was devoted to the 91st anniversary of independence of Latvia. Usually it begins next to Karlis Ulmanis, then heads to Occupation museum and ends at Freedom monument. Hundreds of patriots carrying a torch are led by Latvian nationalists' party.
Yesterday in Switzerland on the Ice Hockey World Championship Latvia won one of the best Ice Hockey Nations - Sweden. Thousands of fans celebrated this event on the Riga streets, It was feeling like Latvia won the whole championship ;) Sarauj Latvija! :)
As almost everywhere else in the world, Riga is also get colored in red at 14th of February each year. Lovers and looking for love are celebrating Valentine's Day. This picture has been taken in Jelgava city at the international Ice Sculpture contest.
St. Valentine's Day is being celebrated in Riga just for the last 10-15 years, since Latvia became Western-influenced country. A lot of lovers express their feeling by gifting flowers or some other other gifts like those Plush toys photographed in Olympia. I was told a legend, that this holiday was invented by French flower traders especially to increase their sales :) See also Valentine's Day in 2009.
As in many European cities, in Riga are sightseeing double-decker tour buses too. They depart every hour from Museum of Occupation. You can listen to audio-guided tour in several languages, including Russian. But, have look at the flags, especially at the Russian one. It turned it is upside down.
