For this matter I took photo of First Trolleybus Park, which was opened in 1913, initially as Tramway Depot.
Trolleybus transportation is very rare outside of Eastern Bloc and I consider trolleybuses as one of Riga uniqueness.

Writing Trolejbuss behind the glass was placed in order to avoid confusion. It is very useful because when Hybrid Trolleybus is without trolley poles, it looks exactly like a bus.
The route of Trolelybus 8 was recently extended and now it crosses with the route of Bus 8.
I can only imagine how many people took the wrong bus :)

One of the most disrespected jobs is ticket controller in public transport.
A lot of people have no money to pay a ticket, some don't want to spend money or simply forget to buy one.
Very often controllers used to get beaten or humiliated.
So now they work in groups not less than 4 people and sometimes even with police together.
This helps to prevent savage conflicts and makes people to pay fine, which is 5Ls (7EUR)
The price of regular ticket is 0,50Ls (0,70 EUR)

Red Bull Flugtag (Day of Flight) is a competition among amateur teams following the steps of the Wright Brothers ;)
A-B Dambis gathered more than 50 000 people from around the world.

When it is difficult weather conditions, everything is going bad. New transport breaks down, but old, tens years ago resigned transport come out for air :)
Like this good old trolleybus, which is big rarity now.
