Ziepniekkalns

Ziepniekkalns (Soap Maker's Hill) or simply Zepchik how it is called among Russian-speaking Rigans, is one of the latest neighborhoods in Riga built up in early 1990s.
Like Purvciems on the east, Zepchik is forming Riga border, but southwest. And both of them look like typical Soviet suburbs.
Typical streets with typical houses where are identical quite cheap flats. But soon prices here will go up a bit, due the building of South Bridge, which will connect Ziepniekkalns to East Bank.

They look like dominoes waiting to be tipped over.
Wow, how'd you get that perspective! It's good to see the development from this hight. I would love to see one from the ground, too, to get a sense of how tall they are. What would a typical flat rent or sell for there?

Typical flat cost about 1000-1400 EUR per SqM. So, 2 bedrooms flat is about 60 meters, so 60000 - 90000 EUR.
To rent such flat is about 400 EUR per month. Depends on many facors, of course :)
