Victory Day

Today is 65 years since the great Victory of Soviet forces over German Nazis during the Second World War.
A lot of people gathering next to the Monument of Victory, lay flowers and commemorate people fallen in the war.
P.S. Do no forget that today is Mother's day as well :)

And Europe Day...
monument of shame
Monument of Greatest Glory!
Monument to "greatest glory"??? Yes...the Russians suffered terribly under the Nazis. However, for Latvians this is a monument to occupation, Russification, deportations, and persecution.
This day should be a day of repentance for the evil that was done, a day or prayer and reconciliation....a day of penance.
I'm sorry, I cannot rejoice in this!
