Road to Latvija

Since the 1st of May 2004, when Latvia joined EU, all entrances to Latvia has European Union symbolic.
But I couldn't find any Latvian flag at this checkpoint. We are loosing our identity and we are happy about it.
Photo has been taken at Latvia - Lithuania border next to Tervete town.

It would have been a good idea to have something big about the country. Maybe it's because the only countries I've crossed borders by car were Argentina (who had a big billboard about Falkland Islands aka "Malvinas"), and Canada.
It's interesting the fact that such a small "road" can take you to another country.
You should try and set up a flag there.
you are definitely not loosing your identity by being a member of the EU... if you did, there would be no more "Latvija" on that sign...
EU form me is USSR - the same thing - all important decidion making is made in Belgium. Most companies are owned by foreigners and HOMO ELITE is brainwashing public that it is good and at the same time dividing - mostly by using ethinic divercity in Latvia.
You say that the border is symbolic, since Latvia and other Baltic States joined the Schengen area.
I am traveling by bus every second week from Vilnius to Riga and we are still checked at the border, sometines by both border polices. Why ?
