Cirks

Rīgas Cirks (Riga Circus) was opened here on Merkela street in far 1888. Circus is located in the very center and this area is one of the most busiest places in Riga.
Interesting fact is that Riga Circus is the only one permanent circus in all three Baltic States.

Just had a trip to Riga - loved the circus! A great Christmas show and so much better than the English ones, which no longer have animals.
please tell me no animals were harmed in the taking of this picture?
horse domesticated I can handle.
camels domesticated I can handle.
lions, tigers, leopards or big cats of any description belong in a zoo or the wild.
elephants belong in the wild.
I don't want to see dancing brown bears. I would rather give a drunk five bucks then watch a bear be tormented.
sorry just my five cents.
thank you so much for showing and introducing people to the REAL Riga - the circus has never been shown on any "tourist" sites. The circus is a very cool place to be able to visit - I actually catered a 45th birthday in the circus a couple of years ago - what an experience!
Please keep up the wonderful work that you do. I visit this site at LEAST once a day to see my beloved Riga!
Priecigus svetkus un gaisu laimigu jauno gadu!
