Strip Bar - Monthly theme

About 2-3 Years ago Riga was still very famous for its beautiful and cheap girls.
Many foreigners came to Riga just for sex, so Riga became like a big strip bar, where you could take any girl.
Since that time government made a lot of social programs to extirpate that.
Now Riga girls are afraid to hang out with foreigners, because everybody other will think that they are whores. Success.
So strip bars are empty like this one in Old Riga.
Even chair for invite-master girl is empty :)
BTW, this strip bar is one of the blacklisted places in Riga.
This photo is for Monthly Theme Day, which is "When people think of my city, they think of..."

Wow, that's interesting. I always think of Riga as a Baltic capital, long under the Soviet yoke and now free of that!
Cool picture!
The transition towards the capitalism was not that easy.
Take care !
It's interesting how quickly things can change! Interesting post.
Fascinating - only the neon left. It's not often that these areas get closed down in towns as they bring in currency, bravo Riga!
Wow, I would not have thought of Latvia...but then I have never been there.. Cool picture!
Nice night shot!
This was a very interesting post...I learned something new today.
I wonder where all the strippers went. Interesting. Happy Theme Day from Maui, Hawaii.
Wow, who would have guessed this. It's certainly not what I learned about Riga in geography class in middle school! ;^) Positive change, and nice to hear of it! Great photo, too!

That is a sad and not at all unnusual story. I hope that the changes really do mean a change for the better rather than that the "business" was forced to go underground.
Hopefully you can now say that Riga is known for moral regeneration.
One of our members of parliament is pushing for the legalization of prostitution, before th 2010 World Cup Soccer. His defective reasoning is that men rape women, because there are no prostitutes available for them. And he is running the country ......mmmmmmmmm
Great picture. I'm happy for the change in perception. Riga is a beautiful city and they people are too.
--------"FLAMES strip club"-----------ATTENTION!!!mind out there!
GUYS DON'T GO THERE!IT'S VERY DANGEROUS!that's for my own experience!I went with my friend on the end of july,it's very expensive and the girls (..some Eva for me) will cheat you, especially if you decide to go out with them, first you must pay 140 Lts to the responsible and when you think to go to fuck on ur bed...SHE fucks u!RUNNING AWAY AT THE RIGHT MOMENT!!be careful!don't go there to loose ur money!!!!!!!!!!
