Bastejkalns
Bastejkalns (Bastion Hill) is an artificial hill in the center of Riga next to Riga Canal.
Built up as defensive stand on the northeast of Old Riga, nowadays it is park, where a lot of people walk everyday.
In the beginning of 20 century it was so popular and beautiful place to walk, that doctors recommended for social elite "go for a walk to Bastion Hill for de-stress" :)

Interesting post. Is the hill very old? Do you know when it was built?
As far as I know, It was built in 18th century, and was rebuilt several times.
Since the end of 19th century it looks like it is now :)
