This metal doors of the former NKVD building (later KGB) is untypical monument, which will always remind to people how many victims were tortured and killed because of wrong political views during the early Soviet times aka Stalin's era.

I respect you all, as well as everyone that passed through such painful situation. Also we had dark years here in Latin America. Paraphrasing Fernando Pessa, the Portuguese poet, "So many mothers wept, so many sons prayed in vain! So many brides remained unmarried..." - Torture never more!!!
Such a non-descript doorway, but I guess that was the point, wasn't it. May sad times never return.
