Paon Bleu

Le Paon Bleu (Indian Peafowl) is the name of recently opened bohemian French restaurant in Old Town.
I don't know what new restaurant owners have in mind, but the closed down restaurant Hospitalis, which was located here, went bankruptcy several months ago.
Despite being very well promoted Hospitalis couldn't compete with cheaper restaurants and cafes in Old Town.
Have you ever tried frogs legs? How does it taste like? :)

Frog legs are almost like crab taste. Very close to fishes
I would not eat them but I have heard they taste like chicken. Nice photo. Looks like a nice place for a meal.
looks like chicken legs, tests like sprats
Ate them once...they do taste like chicken...
Just back from Riga a few days ago and we had visited this restaurant for lunch on Saturday. All seven in our party had the business lunch which included soup/salad slow roasted pork with very nice chips and coffee/tea. Business lunch was extremely good value at Ls3.90 (or about £4.75). The meal and service was outstanding and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys food.
Hi,
Last comment seems very...commercial :)
I am french and have been living in Riga for almost 8 years. There is actually nothing close to french food, neither in "Le Paon Bleu" (french food is not just grease!), neither in all these fake french bakeries opening each month. The most stupid, i found it in "Boulangerie Bonjour" : Gérard Depardieu wine!. Guys you are so superficial, already try to make normal good croissants and let wine to specialists! By the way best croissants and french baguette can be find in MC2...a latvian shop !! I tasted all of them. Just check and compare.
