Kipsala Beach was opened for swimming this year. It's located between Cable Bridge and newly created yacht park.
The summer is ending, so don't miss the last chance to enjoy the most urban beach in Latvia :)
Coming back from Vilnius to Riga I see a huge progress of new developments around the city, including this new overpass next to Z-Towers, between Zunda river and Martin Cemetery and over Daugavgrivas iela.
Does anybody know where it is possible to see the final presentation of this road completed?

In fact here are 2 water bodies; a pool next to Swedbank and Daugava river, which flows on different level. This picture is participating in Monthly Theme Day Reflections. It is said that Erots is the only regular Erotic Exhibition in Baltic States. In fact there is nothing special, so if you have missed Erots, then you can always go to Amsterdam any day and the experience there will be much better :)
Rīgas torņu skaitītājs (Riga's Towers Counter) is relatively new bronze monument next to Swedbank building. The bronze man is sitting on the grass and counts innumerable Riga towers. This sculpture is made as a gift to Riga by donations of Swedbank clients; sculpted by Olga; Shilova; photographed by Mike.
EF Dambis (EF Bank) is a made-up name for overgrown strip in Daugava by analogy with AB Dambis. This is the third bank on Daugava river towards the sea. Raft cafe is part of Fabrikas Restorans, the fancy restaurant in Kipsala.

Remember those burglars which were crawling like spiders on the Press' building? They had been putting banner of extremely right-wing party TB/LNNK with slogan Atbalsti savējos (Support yours) [Un]fortunately huge sheet was blown to tatters, just after several hours they put it :) I personally don't like neither extremely right nor extremely left wing political parties. Also, check TB/LNNK quite funny provocative video (with Russian subtitles)
Mobile Aerodium in Riga next to Olympia Center in Kipsala. The price of a short two minute flight is 18 Ls (25 EUR) which, I guess, is slightly expensive. Have you tried Aerudium? How good it is? :) check another Aerodium in Sigulda.
Don't panic! Nobody lives in this skyscraper. It is former Riga Press House. For the last 5 years this building is in the queue for demolition, so I have no idea what these people are doing there. But for sure it is not a window cleaning team.
What they were doing in real? Check another photo of Press' building.
Swedbank main office building in Riga is the tallest skyscraper in Latvia. Actually, the building name is Saules Akmens, which literally means Stone of the Sun. Saules Akmens had been built in 2004, and at that time it was residence of Hansabanka, which had been bought to and renamed to Swedbank in the end of 2008.
